Hourly wage: $3.27 (+Tips) – $15.00 per hour
Wage comments:
– Server: Wages start at $3.27 when working tipped positions. Tipped positions typically average $100 -$200 of tips per night.
– Front of House Support (Host/Hostess): Wages are $15.00 when working as a host.
– Kitchen Support (Cook, Prep Cook, Dishwasher): Wages start at $12 hourly and may increase to $18 hourly depending on performance and individual skill sets)
Overtime: Slight
Estimated hours per day: 32 hour weekly minimum
Number of days per week: 4-6
Job prerequisites:
Server
Proficient English is required for this position, as servers must be able to communicate with guests effectively and answer any questions they may have. Must also be able to stand continuously for the duration of the shift and be able to lift/move heavy objects. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must. Previous server experience is strongly preferred. 2nd time participants preferred for Server positions.
Front of House Support – Host/Hostess
Advanced English is required for this position, be able to stand continuously for the duration of their shift and be able to lift/move heavy objects. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.
Kitchen Support – Cook, Prep Cook, Dishwasher
Must be able to move continuously and lift heavy objects. Must be comfortable with food prep, be able to communicate clearly with fellow kitchen employees and have no sensitivities to cleaning chemicals. Must be willing to work with all types of food, including pork and seafood. Previous kitchen experience preferred.
Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.
Job Description:
Server
The server position provides customer service to restaurant patrons. Specific job duties include taking food and drink orders, serving food and drink, and carrying out patron requests. Servers may also be required to assist with food preparation in the kitchen and table bussing on the floor. Must be able to safely reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds. Transports plates, glasses, and baskets to and from the dining room, service bar, and the kitchen frequently throughout the shift. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and dining room staff
Front of House Support – Host/Hostess
Front of house duties may include: Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
- Greets (both arriving and departing) and seats all guests in a friendly manner and assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Accommodates any special needs of guests
- Manages the Wait List when the restaurant is full
- Provides guest assistance to servers as needed
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned
- To serve food, drinks, and to accommodate guests’ needs at our Carside To-Go Station in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee’s Ten Basic Service Steps
- Expedites, Labels and Bags all orders in proper packaging for Carside and Delivery Orders
- Interacts verbally with all guests and team members creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Completes all required cleaning and side work assigned
Kitchen Support – Cook, Prep Cook, Dishwasher
In this position duties include but are not limited to the following: Complete all assigned prep work & set up cook’s station. Maintain product presentations, product quality & cook time standards. Prepares all menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations & specifications. Maintains kitchen work area, equipment, plate ware & utensils, dishwashing, cleaning, trash removal in a sanitary, orderly condition. Must be able to stand & lift up 40 pounds repeatedly & exert well-paced mobility of up to four hours in length. Must be able to speak clearly & listen attentively. Other tasks may be assigned by the manager.
Depending on business needs and individual skills, management may assign you to one area of the kitchen.
