Job Prerequisites:
Culinary
Skills: Strong culinary skills, including knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Education: Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as required in a kitchen environment.
Event Services
Must have strong organizational skills and pay attention to detail.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and floor plans.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks.
Additional Requirements:
Flexible availability, including weekends, early mornings, late evenings, and holidays. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes.

Job Description:
Culinary – Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating, according to the hotel’s recipes and specifications.
Cook dishes using various techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking. Ensure that all dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively.
Menu Execution: Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency across all dishes.
Assist in the creation of new menu items and specials, contributing ideas for seasonal or event-specific dishes.
Adapt to dietary restrictions and special requests from guests.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Monitor food inventory levels and report shortages or quality issues to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is used properly and maintained in good working order.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including line cooks, pastry chefs, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth operation during service.
Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to coordinate the timing of orders and special requests.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations.
Guest Interaction:
Occasionally interact with guests, especially during live cooking stations or special events, to provide a personalized dining experience.
Address guest feedback promptly and courteously, making adjustments as needed to ensure satisfaction.
Event Services
Event Preparation: Set up and arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other furniture based on event specifications and floor plans. Position stages, podiums, and audiovisual equipment as required for conferences, meetings, and social events.
Ensure all decorations, signage, and displays are properly arranged and aligned with the event’s theme or client’s requirements.
Equipment Handling: Safely transport and assemble equipment such as projectors, sound systems, and lighting.
Conduct routine checks on audiovisual equipment to ensure proper functionality before and during the event.
Coordination with Event Staff:
Work closely with the Banquet Manager and Event Coordinator to understand the specific needs of each event.
Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure timely setup and availability of required resources.
Event Maintenance: Monitor the event setup throughout the function, making adjustments as necessary to maintain a high standard of presentation.
Provide on-site support during events to address any setup-related issues.
Post-Event Breakdown: Dismantle and store furniture, equipment, and decorations after the event.
Ensure that event spaces are cleaned and reset according to hotel standards.
Guest Room Attendant
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest rooms assigned. Previous cleaning experience as well as the ability to communicate to guests preferred. Requires a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to lift pull, and push a moderate amount of weight. Duties will include but are not limited to cleaning rooms and common areas, including bathrooms, toilets, and showers, changing linens, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and emptying trash, etc. Very physically demanding. Be prepared to stand, bend, and push a 50 lb/23 kg cart all day.
Requires attention to detail, punctuality, and a great service attitude & team spirit. Please do not apply if you are sensitive to any kind of chemicals or lotions or have physical limitations that would keep you from doing your job. Other tasks to be assigned by the supervisor. You may be cross-trained to assist in another department as well. Please see the attachment for more information. Must be dependable, hard-working, friendly, and be a very trustworthy and honest individual. You may not get the same days off as your friends. The work schedule can change. Your employer will provide meals during your work shift ONLY. Students are responsible for meals outside of regularly scheduled shifts. You may have to wait up to 1 week to start working, pending drug test results and completion of paperwork.
