Overtime details: Possibility of getting overtime, but all overtime must be approved by supervisor.

Estimated hours per week: 32 hours per week minimum

Job Description :

Gift Shop Associate
Gift Shop Associate workers actively sell a range of merchandise to guests in a store environment.

In this role, participants must:
– Demonstrate a high level of customer service.

– Have an Excellent level of English
– Be able to answer questions, answer phones, and take proper messages.
– Have strong communication skills, friendly, and positive attitude.
– Have high attention to detail with accurate money/cash handling skills.

Retail Sales responsibilities include:
– Handle sales in an accurate manner which will include:

– Maintaining a daily bank
– Entering sales in a cash register
– Taking money
– Counting out correct change, giving change to guests
– Completing credit card transactions
– Wrap items and/or placing items in bags for guests.
– Greet all guests as they enter the store in a timely manner.
– Assist or advise guests on their purchases.
– Suggest other merchandise items to go with the guest’s original selection.
– Educate guests on amenities outside of the retail location, such as Lumberjack Show and downtown store.
– Stock and inventory of merchandise items as well as displaying the product and designing store layout.
– Maintain and cleaning all retail areas including stock room, display areas, floors, and cash register/check-out area.
– Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards.
– Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints of guests.

Participants may be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Participants must be able to:
– Work individually or on a team and at a quick pace.
– Wear the required uniform.

Dining Room Assistant
Participants in the role must be attentive to guests and knowledgeable about the property in order to assist the guests.

Dining room Assistants take on wide variety of different jobs including:
– Clear dirty dishes off the tables into proper bins in a three-tiered bus cart and wipe table down.

– Set tables properly by placing settings in correct arrangement after thorough cleaning, as trained.
– Sweep floors and pick up any mess on the floor.
– Stock bus carts with clean dishes.
– Check bathrooms throughout the day and clean bathrooms (including toilets) in mornings and evenings.
– Greet customers and help if there are any questions.
– Seat guests and make sure the tables are properly set and ready for the customer.
– Change and fill water buckets for wash rags to clean the tables.
– Bringing dirty dishes and full bus carts back to the dish room in proper order as specified.
– Help remove garbage and place in large dumpster, clean and hose out garbage cans.
– Prepare dessert station, stocking beverage cooler, prepare salads and coleslaw, refill condiments and syrup, and prepare drink orders for service.
– Keep supervisor informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron concerns, accidents, emergencies, damages, and potential safety hazards.

All Food and Beverage employees will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all Food Service areas including preparation tables, equipment, dishes, floors, supply areas, refrigerators, coolers, sales areas, and customer areas.
