Position: Cashier/Ice Cream Server *Early Arrival*
Position Available: –
Hourly wage: $14.15 per hour
Wage comments: Credit card tips on $4-$6 per hour on average. Making your total pay between $18.15-$20.15
Tips: Yes for cashier/ice cream server position.
Bonus comments: There is a possibility that a bonus will be offered to participants who have a good work performance and work until their contract end date. Specific details will be shared by the host employer.
Estimated hours per day: 32 hours weekly minimum
Number of days per week: 4-6
Job Prerequisites:
Proficient English is required for this position. Previous kitchen experience is preferred. Must be able to work with all food types, including pork, seafood, etc.
The host employer requires an interview with candidates prior to placement.
Job Description :
This position involves cashiering in a take out restaurant and convenience store located on the beach in York, ME. This location serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Duties include but are not limited to; taking orders, operating a register, serving beverages and ice cream to customers. Additionally, you will be required to clean, organize and price retail items in a high volume, fast paced store. Involves opening and closing duties. Candidates should be reliable, possess good communication skills, be highly motivated, friendly, take pride in their work, be able to work with others and have fun. Teamwork!

Start Date: May 18th – June 14th, 2025
End Date: September 2nd – September 7th, 2025
Meals details: 50% discount offered on meals.
Housing Information
Housing assisted by: Employer
Cost of housing: $100 per student per week
Transportation details: Walking distance. Bikes may be available for use for $40 for use during the entire season.
